činnost The main mission of our Centre of Early Support is to provide field services for families with disabled children at very early stages of their lives. We provide them with professional help and support, which improve their quality of life. That means that kids can stay with their family, they do not rely on our social system that much and they can become the valued members of society.

Aims:

  • Helping families in the times of difficulty, help them to cope with their child’s disability
  • Social, educational and legal counseling services for families
  • Encouraging families to make their own decisions with problem solution so they can act the same way as majority of society
  • Increasing child’s social and mental development in areas they need to in their natural environment within their families

Our Early Support Services is free of charge.

činnost

Early Support Centre is focused mainly on field services for the whole family. Most of our tasks are attended in the family home, where the child feels safe and his or her behavior is more natural. The rest of our work takes place in our own counseling offices.

We believe that first three years of child’s life have a crucial role in his or her development. Brain compensation abilities in the first three years enable us to develop other mechanisms even when the child is severely handicapped. If we neglect this early stage, the child’s future abilities and skills can decrease or not develop at all. Even though our brain is able to create new neural connections all our life, it is in our early childhood when we develop and adapt the most.

Target group:

Family (or legal caregiver) with child, who has got some disabilities in his or her development. Care is provided for children since they are born to seven years of age. Disabilities can be:

  • Children with mental, physical or combination of both disability or autistic children (even with sensory impairments if they are not main cause of disability)
  • Children endangered because of health issues (prematurely born babies, babies with low birth weight etc.)

Operating area: Zlin and Olomouc regions
